The warm summer has passed and now it´s good time to deal with our heritage business. Our Heritage Company has been working until 1979. It´s history begun when the old relatives arranged a meeting in Kuhmo Huuhilo Village. That happening was held on the old medow, and that was exactly the same place where in 1908 was found an ancient jewel. That jewel was similar than the jewels in Viking culture and it´s estimated age was more than 1 200 years! The first official meeting with our Heritage Company was held on 18th May in 1980 and our company was registrated in 1984. So we have a good reason to celebrate next summer!
In summer 2023 we met three times
We made a trip to Mujejärvi in Nurmes where we met family members. We spent a beautiful day in Tuittula house´s garden by eating and taking part in a feast. Thanks for all organizing people!
In the end of July we held our official annual meeting in Kellojärvi boat beach. It was rainig a lot but we didn´t mind because we had sausages an coffee.
In August we went to a picnic near our beloved Heritage Cottage built in 1768.
Thanks to you all visiting our happenings. Thanks to you who took care of cooking, baking, driving a van and so on. Our company activities depend 100% on working voluntarily.
We´ll celebrate next year in culture, sport and in a big family meeting
Next summer we´ll meet in Kuhmo in the Kalevala Hotel in 13th July in 2024. The Kalevala Hotel is situated in a wonderful landscape near Kuhmo city center. It is possible to overnight there of course. You may book yourself https://www.hotellikalevala.fi The family party begins at 12 o´clock by our official company business. At 13 o´clock the program will start and at 14.30 o´clock we´ll have a meal. You all are very warmly welcome to come along!
